Runny nose, post-nasal drip, and nasal congestion are all symptoms associated with chronic rhinitis. This can cause significant discomfort and irritation, and is sometimes due to over-active stimulation of the lining of the nose by certain nerves. ClariFix is a procedure that uses a targeted, minimally invasive cryotherapy to address these out-of-balance nerves. This is usually done in the office with only local anesthesia in a procedure that may be as short as 1 hour. Using direct visualization with endoscopes, the probe is carefully placed in the back of the nose where the nerves can be safely treated.
